Certified Home Theatre is a formalized industry
standard as opposed to an audio video format like
DTS, AC3, Dolby Digital, Prologic for home theatre.
Only THX trained and certified engineers can effectively
design, configure, specify, install and commission
such a system, which adheres to the stringent
requirements from cables to the sources, to the
amplifier, to the speakers, to the acoustic treatment,
etc. A preliminary study of the room environment,
strategic speakers’ location, noise level
(measured in decibels), furniture layout etc.
is needed.
